Crafting

I finally had a night to myself!! The kids schedule has been messed up in terms of bed time. They have been going to bed at like 11 or even midnight some nights. Tonight it was 9 o'clock and all the children were laying down in their beds. Can I just say WOO HOO!! I was seriously excited. I am determined to reclaim my nights and tonight was a good start. I was able to sew baby legs for Peter. A twirl skirt for Charity. And a pair of cheapo jeans from walmart I refashioned into shorts with ribbon. I will post pics soon. What a great night.

Best husband ever....

I seriously sometimes wonder why I was blessed with such a fabulous husband. For my birthday yesterday I was treated to breakfast with some good friends, then my husband set up a play day at worlds of fun. I had not been there in many many years. It was a total blast. I looooove roller coasters and I think I rode them all. It was seriously fun, it made me forget that I am getting kinda old. Then he took me out to dinner with my mom and the Michies, which was delicious. Then my mother in law made a delicious cake, along with Charity who also made me a cake. 2 cakes WOW! It was such a great day. Oh and the best part I got a foot rub, my favorite thing in the world! And then there is all the little things he did for me~he kept taking the baby from me saying "it's your special day", he changed diapers he even got annoyed with me for changing one (he had left the house to get pizza what was I going to do let the baby sit in a poopy diaper cause it was my birthday). He treats me like a queen on my birthday and I will shamelessly admit that I love all 24 hours of it. He must seriously love me to spoil me so much. I love my hubby!! Let me just say Russell always treats me like a queen but as parents to 6 it is easy to get burned out, frustrated, etc.... So he always makes an extra effort to make my day special. I feel so blessed!!!!

Pics. of Grace at Children's Mercy

Grace before her surgery. She got the bunny ears from the "treasure chest" and wore them the whole time. Cutest bunny I've ever seen!!

Grace after surger and doing well. She got the purple cast too!

Finally leaving!! Woo Hoo!!!

A little late on the update but....

Grace had her surgery and everything went very well. They put two pins in her arm to hold the bone in place and she has a full arm (purple) cast. We were able to go home that evening and she has been taking pain meds. Everything seemed to be going well until Sunday after church she started running a fever and has continued to run a fever everyday since. Hopefully she will be back to her normal self soon. On the positive side of her not feeling well she has been very inactive which is good for her arm. All I can say is DRAMA, DRAMA, DRAMA........I am ready for boring! I will add pics later when I can get my computer to cooperate!!!

My poor Gracie!

My poor little Gracie broke her arm this evening. It was an accident of course, but I just feel so bad for her. It is so hard to see one of your children suffering and not be able to fix it. She is being a trooper, she has a long day ahead of her tomorrow and thankfully she is sleeping well right now. She will have surgery in the morning to reset the bone and then hopefully we will get to go home. They also found a heart murmur and want to get it checked out before she goes into surgery. Hopefully it is just nothing, which is usually how it is. But I'm a mom and I worry! Please pray for my little Gracie to have a quick recovery.

Here's what I did last Saturday

So last Friday as I prepared my lesson for Young Womens I decided they all needed a personalized journal to go with it. So off to walmart I went Saturday morning to get all the notebooks to decorate. So Saturday night we watched a movie and I got to craft. I had so much fun (except for the million interuptions from Grace and Noel). So here is what I created...
