Chocolate Chip, Caramel, Pretzel Cookies

Yup all those yummy ingredients in one cookie!! I love these cookies.  I am not one to usually just make up a recipe for cookies...I may tweak things here and there but, I really wanted a cookie with those 3 ingredients so I bit the bullet and made up my own.

Ingredients:
1c butter
1c brown sugar
3/4 c sugar
1 T. vanilla
2 eggs
2 3/4 c flour
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. baking soda
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 cup caramel balls (I am not sure what they are really called but they are little balls of caramel)
1 c. crushed pretzels

Cream the butter and sugars together.  Add vanilla and eggs.  Mix flour, salt and soda in seperate bowl (I don't really do that but that is the correct way to do it) or just put it all on top of the wet ingredients and slowly incorporate it (I pulse my bosch until the dry ingredients are combined and then I put it on med)  Add the last 3 ingredients.  Scoop onto cookie sheet by the tablespoon.  Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes, depends on your oven
I prefer these fresh out of the oven while the caramel is gooey!  Yum!!

How to turn a romper into a t-shirt!

Tyler was only able to wear this romper once before he got a hole in it.  I have no idea how that happened but I hated to throw it away. So, I thought of a way to repurpose  it.  I turned it into a t-shirt. Step 1: cut off the bottom of the romper.

Step 2: It should now look like this. Now you are going to turn it inside out and fold up the bottom about a half inch and iron.

Step 3: Sew about 5/8" away from the edge on the bottom.
Step 4: Sew around the bottom again using the foot as your guide, next to the stitching you just did.  This will give you a double row of stitching.
This is what it should look like, go ahead and press it if you would like and you are done!
Yay!! A cute little shirt for my sweet little guy.  I hope this was helpful, as always ask questions if you have them!

I am still here!!

I have neglected my blog long enough and I have a plan.  I am slightly addicted to pinterest, what isn't there to love about it...lots of fun ideas, they stay organized on my nice little boards and you can hop on for a few minutes or hours! I haven't ever really been on it for hours but I do love pinterest!!  So, I am going to do a post weekly from my pinterest board either testing out a recipe or some craft or cleaning secret I have pinned and we will see if the pins are legit or not. Kind of like how myth busters try and bust myths!  And I really want to get back to posting a tutorial at least monthly.
