Peter hanging out in the house with mom!

Austin, Charity, Christian, Grace, and Noel!!

The little girls getting ready, on their own, to go and play in the snow. Obviously I had to make a few wardrobe adjustments!!

It snowed!!!! I am so excited. Russell will be out plowing all night, but what a way to end the season. I thought it was gonna miss us this morning when it wasn't snowing, but it came and it snowed and snowed. The kids had a blast playing in it. It's the wet, heavy snow great for building stuff and throwing at each other. We made snow ice cream which we hadn't done in a couple years so that was fun for the kids too. Of course Peter and I just hung out in our warm toasty house while the kids played. What a great way to end the week!!

Getting ready for snow!!

Today is going to be absolutely crazy. The baby is still sick and didn't sleep as well as he normally does. He's having a hard time breathing because his nose is all yucky! And we have to go out shopping today to get ready for a huge snowstorm!! Really, I am not complaining because snow means money for us. But I hate having to bring Peter out in this cold weather. We have to go to Aldis, Walmart, and Costco!!!! UGH........My fault for waiting to long but we are completely out of bread, almost out of milk, and various other things you need to survive with 6 kids. Oh well that is life. Hopefully Peter will start to feel well soon and Noel too. I pray that the other kids stay healthy, the last thing I need is a bunch of sick kiddos. I just keep thinking get through the day because tonight when Russell will probably be out pretreating- I will snuggle in with my kids and eat popcorn and watch a movie. :)

Peter has been sleeping through the nights (YAY!!) until last night. He didn't seem his usual self last night when he feel asleep early. He woke up at 3 am to eat and has had a little cough since then. This morning when he got up his nose was all yucky. I am hoping this will not turn into anything worse but how can you not worry when they're so young. Thankfully he is a robust 14 lb. 2 1/2 mo. old baby! Then to top it all off his big sister Noel was up all night hacking and hacking. Poor little thing couldn't sleep because she was coughing so much. I hope none of the other kids get sick! It is just so hard to keep the sick ones isolated from the rest of the family. I do feel so blessed to have a husband who is so helpful with the kids. I didn't even know Noel was up half of the time because he was taking care of her. You are AWESOME Russell! I just pray my two babies will get better soon!! (and yes I call Noel my baby, I know she is 2 -doesn't matter I still consider her my baby)

Motherhood: It's A Wonderful Thing

Some days I just love being a mom. Today is one of those days. We got home from church and my kids decided they weren't going to fight today!! Instead they played together. All five of my older children built a huge train track on the living room floor. It was such a wonderful thing to see them playing together. I feel truly blessed. It's the little moments in life that can bring such happiness.
