What I have been up to...

I have had a very busy month. It has been draining and fun! We had our last day of school today!!! YAY!!! We will take a couple weeks off~doing completely nothing~then we will do our "summer school" which consists of math, reading and games, lots of game playing!!
I also took on a project this past week of building my girls a bunk bed. I found them at a blog called knock off wood. I will post pics of the bunk bed when it is finished. Just need to sand the edges off to make it look a little rustic. Then it is ready to go in their room; except for the ladder I wasn't super hot about the ladder she had with the bunk bed plans, so I need to find one that I do like.
There has also been lots of sewing going on too. Mostly embroidery projects (including 42 towels I did for a school graduation). I am going to sew my two little girls pettiskirts to get their pics taken in this summer but we will see how long it takes for me to get that done.
I am really enjoying being in Young Womens. I absolutely love the girls that I get to work with each week they are all amazing young women!!
O.K. that's it I have rambled enough I promise pics next time.....Oh!!!! One more thing my most amazing hubby gave me a Nikon D3000 for Mother's day!!! How awesome is he??? :) I love him!

  1. I found knock-off wood last week! I absolutely love it! It is great to hear that you are making a bunkbed. I don't know what my first project will be. I can't seem to decide.

  2. I am wanting to make a tutu dance bag. Found your directions but this is what I want to do... use a pre-made bag. What I need to know from you is... do you use 6 inch wide tulle?
So you don't gather but fan fold the tulle right? I think I want mine fuller should I gather? I really do sew but it has been awhile.
I'm doing this for my granddaughter.
    Thank you for your help.
